FAQs

How much does tutoring with DAC tutors cost?

Each child is an individual and teaching is tailored to their needs. We have different prices depending on if you would prefer 1-to-1 or group tutoring. Prices also vary depending on how many students are in the group and on the experience of the tutor. Prices start from £30 per hour for KS1 and KS2, £35 per hour for KS3 students, £40 per hour for KS4 and £50 per hour for KS5. Fill in the form on the ‘Find Me A Tutor Page’ and we will provide you with the exact pricing based on your needs.

What are mentoring and coaching sessions?

We offer mentoring and coaching sessions to go alongside the academic tutoring students receive. Through our years of experience we have seen, that the students who go on to truly succeed in life as well as their academics, have specific life skills, attitudes and habits. Our mentoring and coaching sessions are designed to teach and bring out these skills in our students. Please look at the ‘What We Do Page’ for further information.

What size are your group tutoring classes?

Group classes will have a maximum of 4 students. We find that this the perfect size to ensure that students can work well together without any distractions. We always strive to make sure that students are matched by ability.

Does payment cover travel costs?

If you chose to opt for in person tutoring and require that your personal tutor travels to you, you will need to cover the cost of their transport. This payment is arranged between you and your tutor. In cases like this we will aim to provide you with a tutor close to where you live. Please note, this option is not available currently due to COVID19.

What does COVID19 mean for tutoring services?

We are still able to provide our personalised tutoring services remotely via our online school. Currently no face-to-face tuition is available.

Can I choose a tutor?

Tutors are selected by central team who are in regular contact with them. They are involved in the selection and training process and know their way of teaching and personality. As part of the sign-up process our team will find out exactly what you need and match you with a tutor that matches that. If, for any reason, you do not get on well with the tutor, we will be happy to consult with you on the selection of a more suitable tutor so that the tutoring meets your expectations.
