DAC Tutors is an independent tutoring company founded in Sheffield, England, with a passion for helping every student reach their full potential. We provide high-quality, personalised tuition, mentoring, and academic support to students in the UK and internationally.
Our personalised approach means we take the time to get to know every student and family. We carefully match students with experienced, qualified tutors who understand their individual learning needs, helping them build confidence, improve their academic performance, and achieve their goals.
Because we know our students and tutors so well, we are able to respond quickly to feedback, maintain high standards of teaching, and provide a friendly, supportive service that larger organisations often cannot match. At DAC Tutors, we believe that outstanding tutoring is about much more than improving grades. It is about building confident, independent learners with the knowledge, skills, and self-belief to succeed both in school and beyond.
Our experienced, UK-qualified tutors combine high-quality academic teaching with mentoring and coaching throughout their lessons. This holistic approach helps students develop confidence, resilience, motivation, effective study habits, and strong exam techniques alongside subject knowledge.
For students who need additional support, we also offer dedicated mentoring and coaching sessions tailored to their individual needs. These may focus on study skills, organisation, motivation, confidence building, career guidance, or overcoming specific academic challenges.
We work closely with both parents and students to understand each learner's goals, strengths, and areas for development. By maintaining open communication and understanding what is happening both at home and in the classroom, we ensure that every tutoring session is personalised, purposeful, and designed to help each student achieve their full potential.
Our Vision For The Future.
Our vision is to make high-quality, personalised education accessible to as many students as possible while remaining true to the values that define DAC Tutors.
Over the next five years, we aim to establish a dedicated learning centre in Sheffield, providing a welcoming environment with the capacity to support up to 50 students and 5 tutors at any one time. The centre will also host revision programmes, summer schools, mentoring and coaching workshops, and educational events designed to help students thrive both academically and personally.
As part of our commitment to giving back to the community, we plan to introduce scholarships and bursaries to enable talented students from disadvantaged backgrounds to access our tutoring, mentoring, and coaching services.
We also aim to continue expanding our online tutoring provision, connecting experienced, qualified teachers with students across the UK and internationally. By combining exceptional teaching with personalised support, we hope to empower thousands of young people to achieve their academic ambitions and unlock their full potential.
This is just the beginning of our journey, and we are excited about the opportunities ahead as we continue to grow and make a lasting difference in the lives of students and their families.

Meet Our Founder.
DAC Tutors was founded by Dr Brenda Nayame Chisala, an experienced educator with over 25 years of teaching, tutoring, and mentoring experience in secondary schools, colleges, and universities.
Dr Chisala began her teaching career after completing a Bachelor of Science with Education at the University of Zambia. She was later awarded a prestigious Commonwealth Scholarship to undertake doctoral studies at the University of Sheffield, where she earned a PhD in Chemistry. She subsequently completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) at the University of Sheffield and holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in England, as well as recognised teaching qualifications in Zambia.
Over the past decade, Dr Chisala has personally tutored hundreds of students, both online and face to face, helping them achieve outstanding GCSE and A Level results and secure places at leading universities across the UK. She is widely recognised for combining expert subject knowledge with a caring, personalised approach that builds both academic success and confidence.
The inspiration for DAC Tutors began at home. While supporting her own three daughters through their education, Dr Chisala discovered that academic success depends on much more than understanding a subject. Confidence, resilience, effective study habits, and the right mindset are just as important. This realisation became the foundation of DAC Tutors' unique approach, combining high-quality tutoring with mentoring and coaching to help every student reach their full potential.
Today, her eldest daughter is a medical doctor working in the NHS after studying Medicine at Newcastle University, and her second daughter graduated in Chemical Engineering from the University of Edinburgh and now works in project management at Network Rail. Her youngest daughter is preparing for her GCSE examinations and continues to benefit from the same personalised tutoring and mentoring approach that inspired the creation of DAC Tutors.
Dr Chisala remains passionate about making high-quality education accessible to every student. Through DAC Tutors, she is committed to helping young people develop the knowledge, confidence, and life skills they need to succeed academically and beyond.
